LONA technology – individual, simple and intelligent Garden owners are already benefiting from these features. With the new generation of smart SILENO city and smart SILENO life, the trend-setting LONA (Localisation and Navigation) technology will also be introduced in the product range in 2022.
It offers numerous options for individually configuring the robotic lawnmower. The key to this is the GARDENA smart app, which can be used to monitor every movement of the robotic lawnmower in real time. Cutting areas and times can be set quickly and easily and adapted to automatic watering via the smart system. LONA makes using the lawnmower smarter than ever before.
A new approach to lawn care – individually coordinated for perfect results The robotic lawnmower knows exactly where it is at all times. Thanks to LONA, it is able to get an overview of the entire garden, create a map and use it in its mowing activities. This map is displayed in the GARDENA smart system app, which in turn allows the user to make several additional adjustments here.
Thanks to the intelligent LONA technology, different zones can be defined on the virtual map of the garden, e.g. The mowing intensity and frequency of how often the robotic lawnmower is used in these zones can be determined individually. This makes it possible to take into account various factors, such as shaded areas where grass grows more slowly, which can be cut less often or completely excluded from the mowing schedule.
With LONA, it is also possible to see and monitor the lawnmower's exact position on the garden map in the GARDENA smart app in real time.
The new GARDENA smart SILENO city and smart SILENO life also start the new garden season with a slightly different look. The control panel cover now has a shiny surface that is based on the design of the GARDENA minimo.
2022 is only the beginning for LONA: The new GPS-based technology is under constant development. This will bring a whole new dimension to intelligent lawn care. The GARDENA smart system combines lawn care and intelligent watering in the garden in a smart way and can be quickly and easily integrated into smart home ecosystems.
