No 5 is a mythic and timeless perfume, which have been a favourite with many, ever since it launched. Gabrielle Chanel asked Ernest Beaux create a perfume, that smells like a woman, is rare and powerful. Ernest suggested a visionary composition with an unique application of aldehydes. Different variants was presented to Coco, and she loved number 5 - and thats why its called No. 5. She gave the new perfumes flacon a radical design and decked it with a white sticker and a faceted hood.
In 1986 No. 5 was reinterpreted by Jaques Polge, that made the iconic perfume even fuller in its Eau De Parfum form.
You cant say Chanel No. 5, without saying Marilyn Monroe. No. 5 was her big favourite and a part of one of her most famous sayings: "What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No. 5, of course"

Chanel No 5 Eau de Toilette is a spicy, floral aldehyde, feminine and fine fragrance for women. No 5 opens with top notes of neroli, ylang-ylang, bergamot, amalfi lemon and aldehydes. Heart notes are iris, jasmine, orris root, rose and lily-of-the-valley and the base is vetiver, musk, sandalwood, patchouli, oak moss, amber, vanille and civetta.
