Macramé is an old technique where you use strong yarn or rope to tie different types of knots, which then form different patterns. You can learn how to make some of these knots with our technique videos. The activity requires almost no tools apart from the macramé rope/string, although it helps to do your knotting projects on a special macramé board/clipboard. At the end of a project, the ends can be frayed and combed with a comb for a different look.
